The founder

The person who answers when you ask why your name isn’t in the answer.

Matt Thompson built Forever Cited for one kind of client: the firm whose reputation was earned the hard way and is now invisible where clients look first. He is the one who runs your measurement, writes your authority, and reads your weekly report before you do.

“Nobody can promise what an AI will say about your firm. I can promise you’ll see the actual answers, every week, against a baseline I never touch.”

Why this matters

The referral still arrives. The step after it changed.

For twenty years your best clients came from people who already trusted you. That still happens. What changed is the step after the referral. The person your client sent now asks ChatGPT, Google AI, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity to confirm the recommendation, and the answer names two or three firms. If yours isn’t one of them, the referral goes cold and nobody tells you.

Matt watched this happen from three sides: as the copywriter whose words had to get a firm chosen, as the founder whose companies lived or died on being found, and as the executive whose job was to prove, with numbers, that a system worked. Forever Cited is what those three jobs look like when they are the same job.

Track record

What he has actually built

He writes the kind of copy that gets a firm chosen.

Trained as a copywriter, he spent five years building direct-response funnels for a media company with an audience of more than a million people. Those funnels produced over four million dollars in sales.

Every page Forever Cited publishes is written to that standard: one job per page, no filler, nothing an AI engine or a client has to work to understand.

He has been the firm trying to get found.

He co-founded two Southern California companies. At one, he led the team that leased more than 400,000 square feet of commercial space and built a 30,000-member professional community. At the other, he took a B2B platform from an idea to launch in about seven months and to profitable subscription revenue within a year.

He knows what visibility costs a small firm, and what invisibility costs more.

He measures like an enterprise, because he’s been there.

Six years at Dell Technologies, first as one of two pricing leads for an enterprise private cloud, building the models behind more than a billion dollars of infrastructure with five-nines uptime obligations, then as an AI product manager shipping machine-learning tools that were enthusiastically adopted by Dell Finance’s senior leaders.

The locked baseline, the weekly re-measurement, and the refusal to report a number you cannot re-check all come from here.

He has run the whole stack.

As Chief Technology Officer of a direct-to-consumer brand, he led back-end systems, front-end development, digital transformation and customer service. His team launched five international storefronts in about two months, rebuilt the site from a monolith into a modular architecture with zero downtime from system failures across the year, and deployed AI customer-service automation that resolved more than 25,000 conversations end to end and lifted the brand’s Trustpilot rating from 1.2 to 4.8 stars.

When Forever Cited builds your site, your intake, your analytics and your data layer, the person who scoped it has already done it at that scale.

How he works with you

Five rules, none of them negotiable

One firm per specialty, per market

When you sign, every competing firm in your specialty and market is turned away, in writing. He sells your market once.

A baseline he never touches

Your 0–100 Visibility Score is frozen on day one. Every week the same client questions are re-asked across ChatGPT, Google AI, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and you see the actual answers against that baseline, including what has not moved.

Your rules, built in

Your profession’s advertising rules are part of the approval workflow, not a review at the end. You approve every word before it publishes.

You own everything

Every page, article, profile and account belongs to your firm and lives in systems you control. Leave any time; it all stays yours.

No promises about what AI will say

Nobody can make that promise. Anyone who does is lying to you. What he promises is measurement you can verify and work you can see.

Five minutes a week

This is done-for-you. Your total time commitment is approving content and reading a five-minute weekly report.
